Should I have a lip lift or revision rhinoplasty procedure first?

Hello doctors, I am having my revision rhinoplasty in March 2024. This doctor does not perform liplifts, so i have to do this with another doctor. I am planning to do the liplift in October 2024 (6 months later). I am just worried my nose will change, because of the liplift. Is this true? Or is it better to do the liplift before the revision rhinoplasty? Kind regards

It appears your philtrum is long enough for a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

In your case lip lift with excision of skin and muscle would be a good option. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon familiar with this procedure is recommended. Good luck.

If the length of your lip is within the normal range, then a V-Y or double V-Y may be indicated in your case. When the lip lift is done properly, the incision should be difficult to find. There is no internal procedure that can cause greater tooth exposure if the lip is truly long.
