The scar burden of a breast lift varies directly with the degree of ptosis/sagging. The more significant the correction needed...the greater the scars.

Slight ptosis can be corrected by a "donut" or circumareolar mastopexy/lift. Moderate ptosis may be addressed via a "lollipop" lift or vertical mastopexy. The most significant degree of ptosis will necessitate an "anchor" or Wise pattern scar.

With regards to your specific questions, your nipple position appears for the most part preserved. A "donut" pexy might be reasonable. It is important to remember that pregnancy will change and often times undo the results of a mastopexy. IIf they are anticipated in the near term, then delay is prudent. However, if you are not planning for children currently then delay is unneccesary (as long as you are amenable to revision).

A peri-areolar lift is not a great option for addressing ptosis. It can lead to an unsightly scar and not address the fundamental components of a breast lift. In my opinion, I would wait until after having kids to make a decision on your breasts; the risk/benefit ratio does not favor proceeding . . . I hope this helps.

While you would like to minimize your incision lines, an anchor style breast lift would give you the most predictable and likely best outcome for a breast lift. It allows careful measurement of the remaining skin envelope with a predictable elevation of the nipple to its correct position. The donut lift is known to result in spreading of the areola over time and flattening of the front of the breast, which are aesthetically unpleasing. I am not familiar with the results of BodyTite to elevate the breast, although I have always felt that if some non-invasive technique gave you results as good as or better than standard surgical techniques, then everybody would use it and that is not the case. A well performed anchor pattern breast lift should leave you with inconspicuous incision lines. However, as most people experience breast enlargement with pregnancy and possibly breast-feeding, which would put some stretch on the scars and possibly lead to them widening, I always do recommend that patients finish their child bearing prior to undergoing a breast lift in order to maintain their results as long as possible. Because your nipples are located below your breast fold, an anchor lift may be more suitable for you. A less aggressive lift would probably not achieve enough of an improvement.

Hi, a donut lift would give you a little bit of a lift, and that may be all you need. But it can make the front of your breasts look a little flatter and that isn't always what people want. BodyTite is also a great option. It won't lift as much, but there are no significant scars. Alternatively, since you have nice breasts, it is also a reasonable option to just wait until after you have children since you will likely want surgery at that point. Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for posting. I love the Donut Lift! It’s not for everyone but it’s a great option for Grade 1 Breast Ptosis which you seem to have. Both the lollipop lift and the anchor lift have larger scars so they can produce more of a lift then the Donut Lift, but I don’t think you need that much of a lift…… especially if you don’t want the extra scars and/or if you don’t want implants. PLUS, a donut lift doesn’t touch the glandular tissue, so there will definitely be no issue with breast feeding in the future.
Just understand that it is very hard to correct asymmetries with the Donut Lift and the results wont be so dramatic. It tightens the breast around the areola and lifts the breast and areola by removing the skin around and especially above it. The end result will look similar (but better) to the side by side foto on the right where your arms are open. I feel this is more than enough in your case!

The breast lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

A breast lift will achieve the look with your arms up in the air, or off to the sides. In addition, the areola could be downsized if you choose. The lift comes with permanent scarring and only you can decide if the new look is worth this scar (usually a tennis racket or lollipop shaped scar is done).

If you get pregnant in the future, and your breast enlarges or you decide to breast feed, you can expect the lift to be at least partially undone. I typically reserve breast lift for patients who are very unhappy with their size or shape. They never have regrets !
