1 1/2 years post eyelid surgery and fat injections under the eyes. How can I correct these results? (Photos)

Thank you for the question today. Review of your photos demonstrates likely volume deficiency of the lower eye lid/cheek that may be amenable to augmentating with fat with injectable filler. The upper eyelids also appear to have some excess skin (dermatochalasis), however it would be prudent to examine you in person to provide you with a comprehensive assessment and proposed plan.

Hello and thank you for your question. The photos are not labelled, but presumably the photo with less bruising is the most recent one. Without examining you in person, it is difficult to determine how much persistent dermatochalasis is present, although it does appear that you have volume deficiency in the lower eyelid that may benefit from additional augmentation. This could be done in the form of repeat fat transfer or injectable filler. You may benefit from an in person consultation with a facial plastic surgeon.

I know it continues to be very popular among surgeons. I see 4-5 new consults each week from individuals with fat grafting complications. Regarding your upper eyelid surgery, in my opinion, it was performed by someone who really does not understand eyelid anatomy. The creases were made too high with no attention for correcting the deeper eyelid issues. The central tendon is disinserted. This should have been repaired at the time of the original eyelid surgery. This can be corrected with crease lowering and an anterior levator resection ptosis repair.
