A combination approach would give the most improvement. Deep wrinkles and smile lines can be improved with a combination of Botox and/or fillers for the lines themselves and to build anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Ultherapy is a great skin tightening device, but works best in combination with other treatments like J Plasma, RF treatments, lasers, microneedling/PRP, salt facials, Cosmelan for skin tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello lindylindyCheek implants are available in a range of different shapes and sizes, they are mostly customized to fit a specific facial structure. Fillers such as Juvederm Voluma, Radiesse and RestylaneLyft are great alternatives to cheek implants, also fat transfer or injection can be done.
From the photos provided, it appears that a nonsurgical cheek augmentation using a volumizing filler would give you the lift, projection, and reduction in sagging that you are seekin. In my Upper East Side Manhattan office, I would choose Voluma XC for this purpose or alternatively Radiesse Plus. In my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved injectable volumizers are available, I would opt for Stylage XXL or Emervel Volume. There also appears to be some suggestion of mid-face volume loss, and if so, my choices for this would be Restylane Lyft (NY) or Hyaluronica 2 (Israel). The total effect of addressing the problems in both areas would be to restore the inverted triangular shape of youth by accentuating the cheek bones and diminishing any mid-cheek hollowing. Additionally, the stretch obtained from the above approaches would likely smooth and lessen the incipient infraorbital malar pouch that is particularly evident under the right eye. Although he above injection techniques take only a few minutes to perform and typically engender an immediate "Wow!" response, they are advanced procedures that should only be performed by experienced, board certififed aesthetic physician injectors. Make sure to ask to see the befores and afters of any physician you consult with before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
A malar implant or a midface lift could be considered. The malar area is the most projecting part of the midface skeleton. It is what we consider the "cheekbone." Prominent malar bones are considered attractive. Hence, the malar area is frequently augmented with implants. Oftentimes, a deficiency in cheek prominence is part of a more generalized deficiency in the midface skeleton. For that reason, malar (cheek) implants are often used in combination with other implants - most frequently, with infraorbital rim implants, which build up the area directly beneath the eye.
I would concentrate on non-invasive procedures to add volume and thus a lifting effect to your cheeks and mid face. My preference for you would be to use Radiesse, a filler which will provide a lift and also stimulate collagen production to prevent future sagging. I would also consider using Juvederm Voluma, to contour the cheeks. Good luck.
you have 3 consistent and safe options and about a hundred others as well. The easiest and fastest thing to do, which does not directly address the issues of dropping and laxity, would be to use fillers starting in the under and and upper face and work your way down. This would require 4-5 vials and give a nice result in terms of shadowing. Second option is to perform a tightening with a device. The most effective to date is the profound device. Some would perform the profound and then follow up with fillers. The last option is a cheek lift. Thread lifts and transtemporal cheek lifts are not very consistent. A lift like the AuraLyft is more effective but you would have surgical downtime. In general for your face I would be cautious of any type of mini lift or fat grafting
Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, facial implants (cheek, chin), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years. From the photos, your cheeks are a bit flat in the front, the chin is weak as are the back portions of the jaw line and "jowls" appear to be present. These combine to create an elongated, oval shaped face. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front. Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face. I have performed many Chin Augmentations using chin implants for over 30 years. From the photos, your chin is weak. A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin. Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty. I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery. The back portion of your jaw line is a bit weak and can be augmented, without making your face appear masculine, using precise placement of a dermal filler (I prefer using Restylane Lyft). If you have "jowls” these are sagging facial tissues and an indication for some form of a SMAS facelift. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last). The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane, cheek lift and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:very small incisions and no incisions extend or are placed within the hair.minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recovery ( several days instead of weeks or months with the more invasive type facelifts mentioned)can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesiano incisions within the hair = no hair lossexcess fat can be removedexcess skin removedcheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implantsmost patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-opI combine facial shaping with every facelift procedure. When jowls are present, these should be done in concert and not alone or separately in order to create a naturally, more attractive face.Hope this helps.
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
Thanks for your question and photographs. I would recommend against surgery since I think your cheeks are adequate and well-positioned but would benefit from minor volumization using facial fillers such as Restylane or Juvaderm. My feeling is that a cheekpad lift would not benefit you. G...
