How dangerous can be a local anesthesia in hairtransplat, since last week one patient died from it (hypotension shock in HT clinic in India)? And whats the best dosage (the lowest possible) for hairline restauration, for aproximatly 1.500 hair grafts. Is it also necesary to ad a sedativ in it? I done HT last year and it went good with anesthesia just my wife told me i was a litle stoned after. It seems i am not alergic, but still scared since i am planing for second touch up. Thanks.
Answer: There is always a risk to any surgery. Risk of death from local anesthesia is not considered normal or acceptable. There is always a risk to any surgery. Risk of death from local anesthesia is not considered normal or acceptable.

Answer: NeoGraft Thank you for your question. You should not be worried when you receive local anesthesia in a registered hospital/operating room and are in the hands of a board certified facial plastic surgeon and staff. Negative affects related to local anesthesia are usually the cause of improper/outdated/illegal medical practices. Best wishes,

Answer: Risk of death with local anesthesia Local anesthesia when done properly with careful attention to dosing is extraordinarily safe. It is important to know that the facility and physicians performing your procedure are well-trained and experienced.Deaths after outpatient surgery are rare can occur for a number of reasons (not just issues with local anesthesia), so it can be difficult to know exactly what the problem was even if it was blamed on local anesthesia.

Answer: Danger of local anesthesia in hair transplant? Thank you for posting your question. Anytime a patient signs up to do an elective procedure, there are always risks involved. That being mentioned, you have already had a prior procedure, and know what to expect. Do your research and due diligence. Make sure you don't choose a clinic because they are the least expensive, but because they have enough experience in doing what they do and are great at it, with proven results and record. Also make sure the individual performing the procedure is a medical professional and medical practitioner. All this mentioned, FUE hair restoration is minimally invasive, but there are always risks involved. Full medical check up and clearance can give you a piece of mind prior to proceeding. Hope this helps.

Answer: Risks of Surgical Procedures Albeit the FUE method of harvesting, incisions, and implanting phases are now less invasive than ever, any medical procedure has risks associated with it. That is why it is so critical to research and look deeply into this elective procedure that is so important for patients. When looking at choices for to entrust your care with, price should not be the only consideration. An in depth review of the clinic, the investments they make in their patients, their track records, and longevity is critical. Risk of anesthesia is lidocaine toxicity, amongst other things such as anaphylaxis. This procedure is not governed by any authoritative bodies and done differently from clinics to clinic; Unfortunately.Make sure that any clinic you choose has you on constant telemetry to monitor your blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation during your procedure. Ensure that your surgeon is actually a doctor. Ensure that their training would allow them to take care of you should an emergency situation occur. Be careful who you entrust any of your medical procedures with and do your due deligence. Penny wise can sometimes be pound foolish.
