The doctor told me that his plan was to advance the chin forward 6mm. I freaked out and I asked him to do just 1 mm less because I just want a subtle result. I'm starting to regret my decision, maybe 1 mm can do a lot of difference. Can 1 mm less affect the whole result significantly?

Unfortunately, between all these photos there is only one which gives us information about how do you look now. It appears that adjustment of the neck and chin is needed to create more balanced profile. Only on the basis of in person evaluation an experienced board certified plastic surgeon...
In the profile photo your chin is prominent with a deep mentolabial fold. It is probably a bit short in the vertical dimension. A reduction genioplasty would diminish the amount of projection and slightly lengthen the chin to reduce the depth of the mentolabial fold.
Dear SouthernBird90,
In my professional opinion, you should not have your sliding genioplasty before your DJ S. It will skew your orthodontic analysis and facial analysis for your DJS. Additionally, the prior surgery would create scar tissue from that surgery that may hamper your DJS
