The problem or concern with has to do with the bone and cartilage on the bridge of the nose. You have a few options for helping with your concern. Temporary fillers such as Juvederm can be used to improve the contour of the bridge. I have had great success with this approach for patients who are wanting to avoid surgery. The filler can be placed in the office easily in just a few minutes. There is no down time and the result is immediate. Alternatively, a permanent solution is to have a rhinoplasty surgery to reshape the nose. I use 3D imaging during the consultation to help visualize the changes and make decisions about the best approach. Based on your photos, it looks like both options may work well for you. Best regards.
Unfortunately there is no home remedy to correct your situation. It's best to be evaluated in person by a facial plastic or plastic surgeon to discuss your specific concerns. At that time a viable well informed plan can be formulated to correct your condition.
NO.Please don't allow a non-doctor to inject your nose with a "liquid nose job" as it will not remove the hump but only build up the lower areas above and below the hump, giving you a dreadful Neanderthal look. Please don't buy an online device to flatten your nose, or tape the skin hoping that pressure will "melt" the bump away. In fact it might just cut off the circulation to the skin, causing the skin to die from excessive pressure (like a self-induced pressure sore). Please don't waste your time and money (and unfounded expectations) on pills, creams, herbal remedies or other types of hump-removal snake oil.You need a rhinoplasty by a competent, well-trained, experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon. Best wishes! Dr. Tholen
Based on your photo- you appear to be a candidate for rhinoplasty- surgery to improve the appearance of your nose. I do not recommend seeking " alternative" ways and attempt to alter your nose without seeing or consulting with a REAL Board Certified PS. Good luck!
Thank you for writing. As you've heard from the other surgeons, the only way to "flatten the hump," would be to undergo a rhinoplasty (operation). This is a safe common operation with a quick recovery. The goal of rhinoplasty is to give the patient an attractive well proportioned nose. A plastic surgeon who has considerable experience with rhinoplasties can do this operation for you. Make sure your surgeon is board certified. Best wishes to you.
Are you tired of getting scolded about not seeing a Doctor? I hope what you really meant was "not having surgery".The dorsal hump is made up of bone and cartilage and the only way to reduce the size is through surgery. The nose (as well as other areas on the face) are also a complexity of optical illusions. By raising the depression in the radix (the place where the bridge drops between your eyes) this can make the hump look less prominent. This can be done by using a hyaluronic filler (Perlane, Restylane and Voluma are my preferred products) but this is considered "off label" meaning it has not been approved for use here by the FDA. Injections closer to the eyes can also have very rare but very severe complications, so you need to select your surgeon very carefully. If they do not see this as a slam dunk, move on. There are many excellent dermatologist and nurse injectors , but this is a situation where you want direct treatment or observation by a qualified board certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon. You can even have just a little saline or numbing medicine injected in the area as a trial that will only last minutes to see if this helps you to achieve the look you are going for.Good luck to you!
If you are unhappy with a dorsal hump, then you may want to seek out a rhinoplasty surgeon to soften it. It can not be treated well without surgery.
There is in fact no way to reduce a nasal hump without seeing a plastic surgeon. There are no non-surgical options.
A surgical rhinoplasty is required to remove the dorsal hump, because it is composed of both bone and cartilage. Once the hump has been removed, osteotomies are required to be placed in the nasal bones to close the open roof created from the hump removal. It is impossible to do a rhinoplasty at home. For many examples, please see the link and video below
Hyaluronic fillers can elevate the depressedarea above the hump, called the radix, and camouflage the hump producing amodest cosmetic improvement. They generally last 6-9 months. Micro-fat graftsare a more permanent filler, but require a more involved procedure. There aresynthetic permanent fillers, but most plastic surgeons would warn against usingthem, especially in the nasal area because of the long term potentialcomplications. Fillers will not produce the same long term balanced cosmeticresult that can be achieved with an artistically performed natural appearingrhinoplasty. Starting with a hyaluronic filler is a reasonable first step. Ifyou like the result and want something more permanent you can always proceedwith one of the other options.Keep in mind that following advice from asurgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what todo based on limited two dimensional photos without examining you, physicallyfeeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medicalhistory and discussing the pros and cons of each procedure would not be in yourbest interest. I would suggest that you find a surgeon certified by theAmerican Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member ofThe American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plasticsurgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You shoulddiscuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California

At this point, give yourself another 3-4 months to heal. You are likely to see significant improvement in the shape of your nasal tip, especially. Keep in close contact with your surgeon and make sure to communicate your concerns. They can advise you on what to expect as you heal. Good...
Rhinoplaslty and chin augmentation would be beneficial based on the photographs you provided. If you are a collage or professional athlete, then of course there is always some risk that you might re-injure the nose or possibly suffer a severe enough injury to displace the implant...
