Hi docs! Thx for reading! 2 months post rhino. I've posted 4 pre pics and 6 post pics. I liked how sharp my nose was pre from the side, very European. I wanted it to be slimmer in the front, take the nostrils in a bit, and make rid of the hump. NOW, the bridge is crooked, my tip is not nearly as sharp and pointy as I had liked it before, it's now bloated and elf-like. I feel like it has changed my entire face. I'm getting super depressed. Is it swollen? Or am I screwed? Help please! Thanks!!

Answer: 2 months after rhinoplasty, some advices: Thank you very much for this interesting question. Its too early to talk about final results with only 2 months after surgery.Swelling time after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity (Ex.: Rhinoplasty with nasal controled nasal bones fracture (osteotomy) will have greater inflammation than one in which only the nasal tip treatment). But, generally the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months. To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Swelling after rhinoplasty After nasal surgery, the nose often takes a year to a year-and-a-half to settle completely. As swelling resolves, the skin and soft tissue of the nose hugs the underlying nose structures more closely, and narrowing and greater definition--especially in the nasal tip--is observed. Two months is fairly early in the post-rhinoplasty recovery, and I suspect you and your surgeon will notice swelling resolving in the next few months. Keep a close follow-up and discuss your concerns with your surgeon; allow him/ her to take good care of you, and best of luck in your recovery!
