2 months post op Rhinoplasty, AND I HATE IT! My nose looks fat, bridge crooked and my tip is wide. Help? I miss my face. (photo)

As the  other doctors mentioned, its very early to feel certain about results.  It really does take 1 1/12 years for final results.  Your feeling of disappointment is  not that uncommon however.  Immediately post procedure there is usually some excitement about having been through the procedure, but the wait is sometimes difficult.  Massage, taping, and sometimes small injections of a steroid may help the process.  consult with your surgeon about these items, and try to have a little patience.

8 weeks is far too early to render any final judgment.  Your nasal tip is, not surprisingly, swollen.  It's best to follow your Surgeon's advice and listen to the reassurance offered.  It takes a minimum of 12 months for this process to reach fruition.  Good luck and be patient!

Thank you very much for this interesting question.Its too early to talk about final results with only 2 months after surgery.Swelling time after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity (Ex.: Rhinoplasty with nasal controled nasal bones fracture (osteotomy) will have greater inflammation than one in which only the nasal tip treatment).But, generally the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

At this point, give yourself another 3-4 months to heal. You are likely to see significant improvement in the shape of your nasal tip, especially. After nasal surgery, the nose often takes a year to a year-and-a-half to settle completely.  As swelling resolves, the skin and soft tissue of the nose hugs the underlying nose structures more closely, and narrowing and greater definition--especially in the nasal tip--is observed.  Two months is fairly early in the post-rhinoplasty recovery, and I suspect you and your surgeon will notice swelling resolving in the next few months.  Keep a close follow-up and discuss your concerns with your surgeon; allow him/ her to take good care of you, and best of luck in your recovery!

First, relax, 2 months post op is very early....give your body time to heal, convey your concerns to your PS and continue to follow up and follow his post op protocol. Good luck!

Sorry but you are soil; swollen at 2 months postop! Allow 6 months than decide if revision is needed.............
