I’m wondering if Botox or filler would help with the horizontal lines between my eyes. This wrinkle /cease line always creates a “shadow” appearance in pictures. Interested in Botox but heard about eyebrow drooping.

Answer: Botox Yes, Botox is frequently used to soften the line between your eyes that concerns you. The treatment is done in the office with final results seen after two weeks. The effects of the treatment will gradually fade over three to four months.

Answer: Botox is a great solution! Hello, Thanks for the great question! Botox or any of the other current neuromodulators (Dysport, Xeomin, etc.) work well for horizontal (and vertical) lines between the eyebrows. This area of the face is called the glabella and is one of the areas we target with Botox. The muscle responsible for your horizontal wrinkle is called the Procerus muscle. It is one of the many "brow depressor" muscles in the upper face. By relaxing that muscle, you soften the horizontal wrinkle between the eyebrows and actually cause the brow to raise slightly - not droop. Hope this helps! Best, Dr. Gadaleta
