Hi @agwlgalot! It is not recommended to receive Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding. Best of luck!
We do recommend that you do not receive Botox while pregnant or breastfeeding! You can schedule an appointment as soon as you are done!
Hello,Thank you for the question. There is no data that Botox is transmitted in milk when breastfeeding, however, it tis typically recommended not to receive Botox injections while actively breastfeeding due to potential adverse effects on the breastfed infant.I would recommend an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps. Best regards, Dr. KaranetzDr. Irena KaranetzFellowship-TrainedBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
Hi, thanks for your question. Because we don't have clear scientific evidence as to what effect Botox might have on pregnancy or breastfeeding, we usually recommend that you wait to have Botox treatments until after you have stopped nursing. Don't hesitate to speak to your doctor and provider if you have any further questions or concerns.
In general, it is recommended that pregnant and breast feeding women avoid using Botox and all elective cosmetic injectable products. This is done to be extra safe.
Thank you for sharing your question. In a case of better safe than sorry, women who are pregnant or nursing should not receive Botox or filler. Hope this helps.
It is best to breastfeed before the Botox injection, after the injections, you can pump and dump the breast milk for 1-2 days before breastfeeding again. Always consult with a board certified medical practitioner for your Botox treatments.
Though there is not a ton research and information out there on this topic, in my experience, all current research points to mothers successfully receiving Botox injections with no adverse implications on the baby. With my patient, we always tell them to air on the side of caution, and to wait if possible, but the American Academy of Pediatrics, believes it's unlikely that the amount of Botox used cosmetically affects breast milk. We tell our breast feeding mothers to really think about it, trust their gut, and to wait a few hours prior to breastfeeding if they do decide to get Botox. -Dr. Ife Rodney
Thank you for your questions. As far as breastfeeding I would strongly recommend waiting until you are no longer breast feeding before beginning Botox
It is recommended that patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding do not have Botox treatments. There are not adequate studies to verify that it is safe to have this treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so it is better to err on the side of caution.
Hi, thanks for your question. You can have Botox done anytime following your PRF treatment, or even as a combination treatment. Don't hesitate to speak to your provider if you have any further questions or concerns.
I do not do Botox on the same day as any other facial procedures (except filler). Yes, heat and inflammation have the potential to cause botox migration and I never put a needle through skin that has been "damaged" with a laser. To be safe, although it may be a little over cautious, I have...
Hello Charloemi, Great question! You can absolutely Botox these muscles. In fact, this is one of the main targets for most botox treatments. There are three muscle groups that are considered "brow depressors." These include your medial brow depressors (i.e. Corrugator Supercilli and Procerus)...
