It can take 2 weeks for the swelling and bruising to go away after filling the lips and you might also have some allergy to the Juvederm. If it doesn't subside by 2 weeks you will likely want to dissolve some of it with hyaluronidase injections.Hope that helps and best wishes, Dr. Donath
Swelling can happen for approximately two weeks, I would recommend you go to your Doctor for a follow up evaluation.
Swelling can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
Swelling can last anywhere from 1 to two weeks depending on your body reaction. If after the first few weeks your lips are still to big there is a reversal that can be injected.
Your lips are still bruised which means they're definitely swollen. The swelling will not start coming down until the bruising is completely gone. Good luck from New York City
Thank you for your question. It is common to have some swelling bruising after fillers for lip augmentation which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the area to help reduce swelling and bruising. It is also advisable to avoid any NSAID’s before and after treatment as they tend to thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising and swelling. If you have any other concerns please follow up with your injector. Best of Luck!
Bruising and swelling are common after lip injections and can take up to two weeks to resolve. In the meantime you can use ice intermittently and gentle massage to help the area. Some patients find the use of the supplements Arnica and Bromelain to be helpful as well.
Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding your recentlip augmentation. Swelling and bruising after lip fillers is completely normal forup to two weeks. At the two-week mark, I suggest you follow up with your injectorfor assessment. If your lips are still swollen, you can discuss dissolving thefiller with your injector. For now, I recommend icing the lips on/ off to helpinflammation resolve sooner. Best, Dr. Griffiths.

You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm). Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to go over your desired results. Best, Dr. Emer
