I recently had a mole removed the anesthetic hasn't worn off after 7.5 hours. The site is still completely numb. Is this normal?

Hello, I recently had a mole removed from my upper arm. The doctor said the anesthetic would wear off after a couple hours, but 7.5 hours later, the site is still completely numb. Is this normal? If so, when can I expect feeling to return?
