Ultherapy can be combined with fillers. In fact, combination therapy is often suggested to improve the rejuvenating effect as they provide synergistic effects - Fillers provide the fill and Ultherapy provides the lift. However, we would recommend Ultherapy first, followed by fillers. If Ultherapy is performed over an area that has received fillers injections, we typically have patients to wait for 1 month. Whilst it is possible that the ultrasound energy can melt the fillers, it is unlikely that this would be clinically noticeable. The Ultherapy has not been shown to interfere with the effects of Botox.I hope this answers your question. Have a great weekend!Rgds,Dr. Terence GohPlastic SurgeonAZATCA Plastic Surgery
Hi!Most providers would advise against doing energy based device treatment after injectibles,as there is a theoretical risk of "melting" the fillers. If it is known exactly where the fillers were injected and with real time ultrasound visualisation with Ulthera, it is possible to avoid the areas and proceed with treatment safely with good results
Ulthera is great combined with fillers, Botox, and other modalities. It is safe and shouldn't compromise your results to have the Ulthera procedure one month after Botox or Fillers. You can do the procedure even sooner if your physician knows how to visualize the filler with the Ulthera ultrasound and avoid it.
