Can Ultherapy trigger cystic acne instead of curing it?

I had Ultherapy on my chin and neck area on Monday. When I got home last night and removed my makeup I felt horrible bumps much like cystic acne all over my cheeks and neckline. Is that what people are referring to as "welts"? My skin was better at 14 WHEN I HAD HORRIBLE ACNE than it is right now. I'm flipping out about this because I'm assuming that the ultherapy triggered a recurrence of my cystic acne and I'm 42.

Yes, those are likely the "welts" that are common after Ultherapy.  They are temporary and usually resolve within 3-4 days, although sometimes it can take up to two weeks for them to go completely away.  The good news is that this is your skin reacting to the energy that was put into it, which is what will lead to good results!
