Bumps from Belotero did not go. What should I do? (Photo)

Question

The doctor who did the Belotero injection on my face said that the bumps would be gone in 48 hours. After 70 hours the bumps did not go and became bigger. He did some non-ablative radiofrequency treatment but yielded no results. The undereye area is also swollen. What should I do?

Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. I am so sorry to hear that your treatment did not go as planned. When we inject fillers in such a manner, we are usually injecting it as skin boosters and the right filler (viscosity) and amount has to be selected for injection. As some of the other doctors have suggested, you probably had either the wrong filler type or too much injected too superficially. The bumps are meant to go off after a few hours. If it is still persistent, hyaluronidase injections may be given to the bumps to dissolve them. The result should be rather immediate and all the bumps would be dissolved away.I hope this answers your question. I wish you speedy recovery!

Those bumps will not go away soon, to correct that problem you need to get the hyaluronidase injected on them so the filler goes away.

Hi, these bumps persisting for over 2-3 days after belotero skinbooster injection are unusual indeed and you can consider getting them dissolved using hyaluronidase.

This is a very hydrophyllic product and takes on lots of water. If I were you I would find a provider who can dissolve the product with hyaluronidase

Hello there! This is not normal, and is not how I have ever seen filler be injected. I would recommend consulting with someone else in regards to this correction. The filler will need to be reversed. I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. Good luck! Sarah RN BSN
