Forehead reduction/hairline lowering/ philtrum reduction? (Photo)

Hey there. I just turned 32 and feel like my forehead has gotten bigger (did I lost hair in my headline?) and also like my philtrum is a little long- but then again im unsure. Am I good candidate for either hairline lowering or philtrum reduction? I don't want to change how I look but would like to increase the harmony.

The first step in any hair procedure is to obtain a thorough medical history to assess for underlying conditions that could result in hair loss, such as issues with the thyroid or auto immune disease. Next, your surgeon may discuss how much lowering is feasible, and much of this hinges on how much skin laxity is present. Lastly, measurements of the upper lip may be taken, followed by a conversation regarding how much shortening would result in an aesthetic, balanced, appearance. It is possible to lower your hairline and diminish the length of your upper lip. With the hairline, there will be an incision near the front that takes some time to completely heal. The lip incision is well hidden in the crease below the nose. There are limits to amount of reduction that can be performed with both procedures.

Forehead reductions are tricky procedures because of the potential scar at the hairline. If you think that you may just be thinning at your hairline, you may want to try some topical minoxidil to see if you can stimulate some hair growth. Lip lifts in younger patients also have the issue with the scar being potentially visible, so in my practice, it would have to be a fairly significant issue for me to operate on it.
