So you can see what i have. Thanks!!
Answer: Shaving This question is best answered by your surgeon as opinions may vary. The concern would be the introduction of bacteria which could lead to infection. If shaving is necessary it can often be done during surgery, but your surgeon will advise you what is recommended for you.

Answer: Pre-Surgical Shaving Recommendations Before a Tummy Tuck Thank you for your question. It's crucial to understand that preoperative protocols can vary depending on the surgeon, hospital, or even country. Some places indeed advise against shaving the surgical area shortly before surgery due to a slightly increased risk of infection. This is because shaving can create tiny nicks in the skin, which can potentially serve as entry points for bacteria. However, this doesn't mean it's unsafe to do so, especially if proper hygiene is maintained. What's important is to follow the specific instructions given by your surgical team, as they understand your individual circumstances and the protocols of their facility. If you are unsure about what to do, it's best to reach out to your surgeon's office for clarification. I hope this answers your question. Remember, when in doubt, always consult with your surgeon. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Infection risk I think 3 weeks is a bit cautious. If you would like to shave before the procedure I would suggest to do it about a week before the procedure. Doing it the night before can lead to an increase infection risk. Its hard to say exactly when the line of too close to the procedure is but at 7 days youre ok. That being said, I would make sure that timeframe is ok with the surgeon doing your procedure; you picked them because you trust them- stick with that.
