I had breast lifting and reduction and now I want BA to achieve better shape. I like small breasts and I decided not to accept anything more than 200cc, but my doctor says that such small implants would look like two tennis balls. He wants me to go with 240, although I tried 250 sizers and they felt big. Is it impossible to achieve natural look (by natural I mean not obvious that BA was done) with small, round implants? What size, shape and profile would result in small, nicely shaped breasts?
Answer: Are 200cc round implants It is very difficult to determine the best lift you will need (recommended based on your photos) or the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 300 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. The same process goes for just filling in the upper part of your breast without becoming much larger. Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon as I will further explain in the link below including silicone vs saline implants

Answer: Are 200cc, round implants good choice for an average built woman? (height 165cm, weight 60kg). 200 cc implants are small implants. The average volume in the US is 350 cc. Trying on sizers is a reasonable way to determine size.

Answer: Breast Implant Size Options Hello,Based on your measurements/size described, 200cc will likely be a very subtle increase, however it sounds as though, since you've had a reduction, size increase is not your main goal now. As long as the diameter of the implant fits your breast width properly it should work well. The slightly larger size your Surgeon is recommending is not much bigger. I recommend that you let them help guide your choice and explain how to try on rice sizers at home as well.All the best

Communication with your plastic surgeon is the key to achieving the results you're looking for in terms of breast size and shape. I suggest you meet again with your surgeon, try on sizers and discuss the pros and cons of the breast implants you plan to use. If your go round the Mentor Classic or Moderate + works well to look natural. However, the most natural shape implants are better at looking "natural" and Mentor offer a 245 cc MM that is within your size range. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO :)
