I am medically separated from the military and currently have Tricare. I am looking to get rhinoplasty for multiple reasons. I can’t breathe out of one side due to how crooked my nose is. Also, it’s just plain ugly (crooked, hump, etc). So I’m looking for both cosmetic and health reasons. Is there a way I can get my insurance to partially cover the costs?

The healing time after blunt trauma to the nose is variable to each individual. What,s more important is the degree of the blunt trauma. You were hit by a rubber duck. Swelling should be all gone by two weeks max. Some people take up two 6 weeks to resolve.
As you have recognized, you have asymmetry throughout your face, including your nose. Everyone has some degree of asymmetry in their face, which is more noticeable in some people. Improving the appearance of a deviated, asymmetric nose is a common request of many patients
