It's common after liposuction to have significant swelling in the areas where the fat was removed. Initially it may look like nothing was done, but as the swelling improves your results start to show through. It takes 6 to 9 months to see your final results after a liposuction procedure. One complication from liposuction can be a seroma, which is fluid underneath the skin. Seromas need to be drained in order to make them go away. If there are concerns you should contact your plastic surgeon, so that you can be evaluated in person.
