From the limited photo that you are presenting it appears that you have a physiologic level of asymmetry. That means a normal level of asymmetry. I would definitely not call this severe. Having said that, a well executed upper lid blepharoplasty will not only rejuvenate you but also attempt to equalize your eyes. Good luck.
Dear annieandrus,Your photo demonstrates a subtle asymmetry which has little to do with the eyelids themselves, but rather with underlying bony structure of your eye sockets (bony). As others have mentioned, very few people are perfectly symmetrical. Based on your photo, your right eye seems slightly more open, and lower in position compared to your left eye. This is likely due to a bony asymmetry between your two eye sockets: Your right eye socket is probably slightly larger than your left. Another sign of this is the position of your eyebrows: your right eyebrow is slightly higher than the left. Although an upper blepharoplasty will improve the upper eyelid appearance on both sides, I respectfully disagree with others who suggest it can improve the asymmetry. The subtle asymmetry will almost certainly remain. Having said this, I agree with the others that this asymmetry is rather mild, and very common if you look more carefully.
This is mild upper eyelid asymmetry. You have bilateral upper eyelid ptosis that is slightly worse on the left side. Assuming that you do not have a severe dry eye or have some medical contraindication to surgery due to health, we routinely fix eyelids like yours to make them more beautiful and symmetric. It is likely you can find hight competent eyelid surgery close to home. However, if you are interested in traveling to Beverly Hills, we are happy to take care of you. If you do come to Southern California for a consultation, I recommend you arrange to see several cosmetic eyelid specialists because we do very in our approach, opinions, and yes, costs.
Your right eye appears more bulging or left eye more sunken. See an oculoplastic specialist for evaluation. There is options to either push the eyeball back or bring forward but consultation is very much necessary.
HI everyone does have a big eye and small eye; you definitely have that and the overall height of the position of your eyes is also not identical. I would consult with a Oculoplastic surgeon. There are advanced techniques that are used for different situations that can be potentially applied to you. Best Wishes!!
Everyone has some degree of asymmetry in the eyelids and the entire face due to the fact that in the development phase, there's a left and right side that come together. No one has completely symmetrical eyelids. There's always a dominant and non-dominant eye. From the limited photo, it appears the eyelids themselves are relatively symmetrical, and upper blepharoplasty procedure can accomplish rejuvenating them. For many examples of cosmetic eyelid surgery, please see the link and the video below
Thank you for your question. Everyone has some degree of asymmetry and you appear to have pretty symmetric lids. If you are still concerned, visit a board certified plastic surgeon for more discussion and examination.Keep in mind the response is provided without examination and you should see your surgeon for your specific situation.
A blepharoplasty is done to remove or reposition the tissue around the eyes to improve the way they look. This can involve removing excess eyelid skin, removing or repositioning the underlying orbital fat, and possibly tightening or repositioning the lid margin. Most of my patients complain of ...
There are pros and cons to doing multiple procedures at once. Usually it is possible but it depends on patient's health, type of procedures, and surgeon's skills, among others.
Thanks for the photos. It appears that you have more swelling of the left than the right side, about 4 months after surgery. I have seen it take , in some patients, 6-9 months after surgery for the swelling to subside. After that period of time, any loose tissue can be treated with...
