Sunken eyes after blepharoplasty? (Photo)

Question

I have undergone upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty 3 months back. The preoperative tired look is changed to sunken eye look. Shall I go ahead with fat filling or shall I wait till 3 more months?

Consultation is required to give you accurate response. It does appear you have hollowness around your eyes which can improve with filler injection. See following video.

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photograph. From what I can see, you appear to have a good result following 4 eyelid blepharoplasty. Judging from the photo, you do not look hollowed or sunken. Please seek in office evaluation with an experienced Oculoplastic Surgeon for comprehensive evaluation.  Good luck.

Many thanks for your question. The upper eyelids look good. As regards the lower eyelid area the tear trough area does look prominent and as you say this may be giving you a sunken eye look. I would hang fire for 6 months before any further surgery. There may still be some slight swelling in the area and as this reduces the hollowing may become more obvious,  in which case you may need more filler. Occasionally the appearance can also get better with time.
