I'm 11 weeks post op. I still wear pore tape on my scar and belly button. I'm happy to continue doing so but wonder at what point the tape no longer helps the appearance of the scars.

Answer: Silicone pads Silicone pads placed on the scars for the first year after surgery can make a big difference. There are several brands available on the web.

Answer: Scar care Thanks for your question. I generally recommend scar therapy for the first 3 months after a procedure. Beyond that, simple moisturization daily of the scar should be all that is necessary. Time alone and the normal healing process will occur from there. I hope that helps.
