Tummy tuck; worried about keloid scarring?

i never had f;at stomach whole my life! and i had 2 adult kids, my question is im concern will i get keliod scar? im sensitives to the skin is anyway to help to prevent the keliod?

Keloid formation can happen to any wound and any race.  There are places where the scars are more prone for this like earlobes, sternal area (between breast) and shoulders.  Most surgeons close the incision in several layers to decrease tension on the scar and also help heal it as a thin line.  Each patient is different in how they heal,  the cut and closure is pretty much done the same way.  Usually abdominal scars heal well and without keloid or thick scar formation but nobody can give you a 100% guarantee it will be a fine line. Skin sensitivity will be more for dressings and certain types of glues used now a days to seal the skin superficially. Also you may use silicone sheaths over the scar to help prevent excessive scar formation (keloid).
