After an ultrasound and mri I met with my doctor to find out I had a hernia less than 1 inch and the mass seems to be dead fat cells that have not been eliminated through my lymph system. When I had my consultation I made a point several times to mention that I had lymphedema on my lower right side due to a motorcycle accident in 2004. I was told this would not be a problem. Now I am left with a hard mass of dead fat about the size of a baseball.

Typically the drains will drain bloody drainage initially and then this will change to a light pink drainage and then a yellow straw colored drainage. This is expected and normal, but you can always follow up with your plastic surgeon to be sure.
