Have always had issues with lip incompetence, but not being able to keep them closed at rest has led to me breathing through my mouth and waking up with awful pain in my throat due to mouth breathing all night. I am able to breathe through my nose 100% of the day as long as I keep my lips closed, but at rest I am unable to. Would braces be enough to fix this? Perhaps lip injections? Chin implant? Jaw surgery?
