How long should one typically be on antibiotics after they get Gore-Tex jaw angle implants?

I was curious how long one should typically be on antibiotics after they get jaw angle implants. My surgeon gave me 21 antibiotics but I was told to take them starting the day before surgery. So I was only on them 3 days PO and j ended up developing an infection. I'm really upset as I made sure my oral care was very strict. Was this a mistake on their end?

One of the interesting features of chin implants versus genioplasty is that they tend to build slightly the labiomental crease. In your situation the crease has modest visibility and I believe that the advice you have received is correct and a chin implant would be a suitable approach.
