I had double jaw surgery with a genioglossus advancement 10 months ago (medical). My surgeon talked me out of a genioplasty, but everything is healed and I feel like my chin is more prominent and longer now. It also dimples when I close my mouth. I have to get the screws removed from my chin because they’re causing pain and if I have to have the surgery site reopened, I’d like to have the genioplasty at that time. Is this safe for the structure of my chin now? Or do I need to wait longer?
