Which Restylane product would be best for fuller lips?

Thanks for your question. Restylane Lyft is a wonderful product for augmenting the chin, cheeks, and reducing jowls! However, it is a bit too thick for most patients in the lips and may lead to lumps. I would suggest Restylane Refyne. This is the most popular filler in my practice currently and it does not lump where injected. This newer dermal filler has a technology that makes it look more natural than traditional fillers and gives nice long-term results in the lips. Have a formal consultation to review other options!

Hello and thank you for your question! At our office, we will typically use Restylane Refyne or Restylane Kysse for a lip augmentation. Both offer the most flexibility and softness in the Restylane range of products, with Kysse providing slightly more plumping. Restylane Lyft however is on the opposite end of the spectrum and is the firmest filler that Restylane offers. We typically do not recommend Lyft for the lips because patients tend to want soft lips with more volume as opposed to firm lips. We hope this helps!

Restylane Lyft does a very nice job of chin augmentation however it feels too firm/stiff in the lips. I would recommend the many other fillers more suitable for the lips such as Juvederm and Refyne. These fillers are softer and give a more natural look and feel for lip augmentation. There are many newer fillers in the market the last few years which allows for many more options. The key is choosing the right filler for the right area in each individual patient. Please consult a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon experienced in aesthetic injectables. Restylane Lyft may be appropriate for your chin but you might find it too stiff for your lips.  Restylane Kysse is softer and gives a natural look.  Other fillers are also good for lips but your injector will have a favorite and can discuss pros and cons with you.

Thank you for asking. Restylane Kysse is great for lips. However there are other products that may help you achieve the look you desire. An in person consultation is best to determine with your board certified plastic surgeon what product is right for you.

There are many products available now for lip fillers. Restylane Lyft  is too firm and robust for the lips. You will need 2 different products to get your best results. Be sure to see a Board certified Dermatologist  or Plastic surgeon for your injections. I personally like Restylane, Refyne, and Juvederm for the  lips.

plastic surgeon can guide you to the best options available.  The lips, because of the unique qualities of the mucosal surface, as opposed to chin or cheek skin, requires a thinner, finer product than RestylaneLyft.  Very good results in the lips can be achieved with Restylane silk, and if you are not committed to a Restylane product,  Belotero is also an excellent choice for lip augmentation.  Generally speaking, a combination of injectable products works best for different areas of the face, but you would be best served having a consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon before deciding on which specific products you want to use.  

I would be important to meet with an expert to see evaluate you lips and make a treatment plan that meets you needs both with technique and product.  Restylane Lyft is a great product that can be used in the lift, but may be a little bit too stiff even though it can provide long-lasting volume.  Newer products like Restylane Defyne/Refyne and Vollure/Vobella can also last a long time and provide a bit more fexibility.
