Will I achieve good results with a Mommy makeover?

It's difficult to suggest without a in-person one-on-one consultation. The Mommy Makeover is a combination of procedures to bring a woman’s body back to the way she looked prior to pregnancy. Most commonly some variation of a #TummyTuck and #BreastSurgery are performed. Additional procedures can include liposuction, umbilical hernia repair.  The most common #breastprocedures include #mastopexy or #breastlift, #breastaugmentation, or #breastreduction.  

#Combined operations are often performed with our #Gynecology colleagues. Tubal ligation is a common post pregnancy procedure which is done at the time of many of the surgeries included with a #MommyMakeover. If you require a gynecologic operation or study (laparoscopy) and are considering a plastic surgery procedure, discuss these issues with your physician and board-certified plastic surgeon. Also, combining these #procedures may decrease anesthetics, costs, and recovery time.

Your procedures should be performed by a #PlasticSurgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for a revision surgery. It is suggested that you look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients, and read patient reviews. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.

However, I would recommend you undergo a full TT with mesh reinforcement to help give you a flatter tummy along with a cinched waist appearance for an improved feminine silhouette. The mesh will also help you maintain your current weight as it acts like an internal girdle. I would also caution you against using >350cc breast implants. Please know that 550cc implants are very large and can increase your risk of complications associated with implants. Breast implants are not life long devices and require maintenance to keep them looking aesthetically pleasing. Risks and complications related to large implants can include: irreversible soft tissue damage, skin stretch deformities, chronic pain, nipple numbness, capsular contractures, malposition, double bubble, extrusion, etc. I hope this helps you make a more informed decision. I specialize in this area and the story you show here is so perfect for this procedure. In looking at your pictures you would be a great candidate for abdominal rejuvenation with a tummy tuck and some liposuction. Your upper abdomen tissue looks excellent. It seems that those babies did stretch out the lower abdominal skin and muscle. You would certainly benefit from tightening those muscles. How flat can I get you......I can only really know in an exam, but it appears you would have an excellent result. I think you would be a good candidate for tummy tuck surgery as well as breast augmentation surgery.Generally speaking, pregnancy can take a toll on a women's body. In order to help reverse some of the effects of child bearing, many women choose to have a "mommy makeover". A mommy makeover can involve ANY of the areas affected by pregnancy:  most commonly a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and breast augmentation and/or lift (mastopexy).  Other commonly requested surgical procedures include liposuction surgery and/or genitalia surgery.





Generally speaking, the “ideal” patient for mommy makeover surgery is one who has completed pregnancies, is psycho socially/emotionally/financially stable, has an excellent social support system surrounding him/her, is capable of arranging enough recovery time, does not smoke and who has reached a long-term stable weight.











When it comes to cost of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure ( quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider, type of breast implants… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find average costs of surgery listed on this website, and on individual plastic surgeon's websites as well.







  In regards to outcome of the planned procedures, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery.







***Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done. Be very careful with your decision-making. This will likely involve a combination of liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast enhancement. There are many different techniques, each with its upsides and downsides.
