I’m doing research before my pre-op appointment and selecting my implant. The PS recommended an SRX-255 for me given my measurements (least cohesive but still in the extra full category). I want a very natural slope and do not want much upper pole fullness. Will this create too much roundness at the top of my breast? That’s a big concern. My measurements are: Left: 19.5 Right: 19 - sternal notch to nipple Left: 7.5 Right: 7 - nipple to crease Left: 10.4 Right: 10.4 - base diameter
Answer: Is the Natrelle Inspira Responsiveness Extra Full 255 cc too much projection and upper pole fullness for my goals? (Photo) Compared to Allergan's earlier product lines (styles 10,15,20,40,45), the Natrelle Inspira implants are filled with more silicone gel, which increases upper pole fullness. Within the Inspira product line (responsive, soft touch, cohesive), the cohesive implants maintain the most upper pole fullness. As you increase profile / projection (low, low-plus, moderate, full, extra-full) you also increase upper pole fullness. A natural post-operative appearance is effected by not only implant profile and gel type, but also the amount of breast tissue covering the implant and implant placement (under the muscle vs. over the muscle). While an Inspira responsive gel implant will have less upper pole fullness than an Inspira cohesive gel implant, extra-full profile implants tend to look less natural. A 255cc extra-full implant is a good match for your breast base diameter, but I would recommend that you discuss your desires further with your plastic surgeon. Prior to your pre-op visit, you may also wish to think about whether your priority is your post-operative breast size or the post-operative appearance of the upper poles of your breasts. Best wishes.

Answer: Hard to say- you'd need a consult | Breast Implants | Augmentation | Lift | Fat Grafting | Aesthetic Plastic Surgery | Expert Hello and thank you for your question. Honestly, a formal in-person evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are several reasons for this: 1) Bra sizes vary based on the clothing store (for example, Victoria's Secret tends to upsize everyone by a whole cup size) 2) Most women do not wear the proper exact fitting bra size for their bodies 3) The exact volume (in cc) needed to change cup size is different for different body types (e.g. 32A to 32D requires a different implant size than 38A to 38D) 4) Be careful NOT to fall into the trap most women do- they see a certain implant size (e.g. 285 cc) or perhaps their friend had a certain size, and they want or request this or another size based on that. Everyone's body is different- 285 cc implants on your friend might look VERY different than they would on you. Be very careful not to make this mistake, because the goal is to find the right size and shape for YOU- for your particular body and your breasts. Because of those multiple factors, and because it is KEY to fully evaluate your breasts in person to make a full set of precise measurements to select the proper implant for you (incorporating factors like amount of breast tissue, implant type, base width, projection, etc), answering your question really would need a formal personalized consultation- to say anything before that would simply be guessing, which would be both unfair and unhelpful to you. Also, just FYI, each surgeon's measurements are slightly different, so numbers, experience, and overall aesthetic from one surgeon aren't necessarily the same as those from another surgeon! Your breasts are such a KEY area of your body and your femininity- therefore, you should ONLY trust an experienced aesthetic plastic surgeon. As such an expert, I have had extensive training and experience with complex aesthetic surgeries under a multiple world-renowned experts in the field. I’d recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with aesthetic plastic surgery procedures) for a formal consultation to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate all your options (surgical and nonsurgical), and decide on the best procedure(s) and type of anesthesia for your specific case. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Goals I recommend seeing a plastic surgeon with at least 6 years of integrated plastic surgery training and ideally an additional year of aesthetic surgery fellowship training. In addition, I would recommend finding a surgeon who has the ability to perform 3D preoperative planning/imaging in order to show you the potential results. This eliminates any potential guess work or any issues.

Answer: Is the Natrelle Inspira Responsiveness Extra Full 255 cc too much projection and upper pole fullness for my goals? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Breast implant selection is an exciting, but stressful part of the breast augmentation process as there are so many choices. Unfortunately it is impossible to recommend the best implant style, size or shape without an in-person examination that allows for the measurement of key breast parameters, as well as permits an in-depth discussion as to your desired goals and outcome. I would recommend seeing additional board certified plastic surgeons to ensure that the implants you decide upon are the right ones to meet your expectations. You may wish to "try on" several of the implants so that you can have a better visual representation as to what they would look like. Best wishes!

Answer: Mini Lift with small implants or fat transfers Your breasts are too low on the chest wall and implants alone will not solve your problem. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Is the Natrelle Inspira Responsiveness Extra Full 255 cc too much projection and upper pole fullness for my goals? Keep in mind that the lower the projection, the less upper pole fullness. For the results you desire, you might want to consider an Moderate or Moderate Plus profile. You should certainly have them placed under the muscle. I think the Vectra 3D system is a great way for you to visualize the results with all the different implant sizes and profiles. #Staybeautiful #RealDrWorldWide
