Unstable nose, bone crunching, and widening. Is this caused by a detached nose tip? (photos)

Question

I can easily push my nose left and right up and down without much pressure. When i move my nose left to right i can hear bone crunching and it feels like i can pull the tip away from my nose. When i smile my nose widens and points downwards badly. Is it because my nose tip is detached?

Hello, this is not a matter you should freak out about. This is simply caused by the lack of cartilage in the tip of your nose.

Is your nose tip dislocated? The sound you hear when you move your tip back and forth is not bone, but cartilage rubbing against Cartlidge. If your nose tip is not well attached or “dislocated“ from the bottom of your septum the tip will have this type of mobility. It is a normal variant, And not an issue unto itself. If however you wish to elevate the tip and give it more support so it does not droop when you smile, you may wish to consider a rhinoplasty.
