Really hate the lower half of my face - I look so miserable ☹️. Looking at what options are out there? Would a lower face lift work or are there less invasive options. I believe Botox/ fillers will help but that will only last 6 months any help: advice would be amazing please fed up with looking miserable and it’s so aging

Hi, from what I can see from the pictures, you would be a great candidate for a short scar lower face and neck lift and some fat grafting to have a more youthful face. The wrinkle that you are lifting with your finger does not get better with surgery but with a filler after the foundation of the area has been improved with fat grafting. Those wrinkles on the sides of then chin are a combination of loose skin, fat atrophy and skin thinning.

If you would like to evaluate what a deep plane facelift can do for the appearance of your lower face and mid-face, I suggest that you lie down completely flat without a pillow and examine the appearance of the lower face, jawline, and corners of the mouth. I suspect that you will find it produces the type of change that you wish to achieve.

A strong complement to the appearance of the face is the contour of the neck, and I believe that in your situation, the combination of deep plane facelift and deep plane neck lift is more likely to lead to an overall effect that is both softer and flattering, with a natural look.

The treatment that will work most effectively and for the longest duration is a deep plane facelift.  This will address the midface, the lower face including the jowl, marionatte lines, corners of the mouth, and neck comprehensively.

Hello, hope you are well. I would recommend a facelift and lip lift. The corners of the mouth are weighed down by soft tissue laxity which can be addressed in part with a facelift. A lip lift (with corner lift variation) helps to further neutralize the downturned corners. In addition to improving the appearance of the mouth, the jowls and loose skin under the chin can be corrected with a face and neck lift.

Best long-term option is a facelift, repositioning the sagging lax skin and SMAS muscle. Short term, botox for the depressor anguli oris helps block the downward pull at the corner of the mouth. Fillers help camouflage the depression and would combine with cheek filler to "lift" or balance the face.

I recommend a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.

Don't despair. In the hands of an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler injector, these kinds of droopy marionette lines ("down-turned smile") around the mouth, as well as the volume loss along the jawline, etc. can be easily and quickly addressed with the use of appropriately robust and lifting HA fillers injected into the proper locations. This should take no more than about 30 minutes to perform, engender little to no significant downtime, and yield immediate, on-the-spot results and usually last longer than you think.
