I have had sunken eyes for long, but as the years pass the worse it gets as expected. What would be the best solution (or combination)? I had a upper bleph with brow lift suggested for the upper lid, yet for the lower lid doctor suggested fat graft and deep peeling... Would those be good solutions? Are there any alternatives? The unpredictable nature of fat graft terrifies me a bit. In case I do follow this recommendation what should I ask the doctor in terms of technique used? Thank you
Answer: Lower Bleph I would encourage you to specifically inquire about a Transconjunctival lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat transposition. A "deep peel" of the lower eyelid skin can be helpful in rejuvenating the under eye area, however, it is not recommended for those with hyperpigmentation under the eyes. As always, I recommend reaching out to a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for a consultation and assessment.

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: lower blepharoplasty Very likely that transconjuctival lower blepharoplasty, with or wothout skin removal, would be a good procedure for you. We have very long and very successful experience with periorbital fat grafting and that is something that I woud consider in your case. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Eye rejuvination Thank you for your question regarding eye rejuvenation procedures and options and for including photos. They are very helpful! From the photos you shared, it appears you would be a great candidate for an upper blepharoplasty. Depending on your brow position during your exam, a brow lift could provide benefit as well. A lower blepharoplasty corrects and releases the tear troughs. A deep laser would help improve the texture under and around the eyes. I hope this helps. I encourage you to see two or more experienced board-certified plastic surgeons in your area for an in person consultation.

Answer: What is the best surgical approach to rejuvenate my eye area? Hello @Tasteful8319, thank you fro your question. It is important to develop a surgical plan that fits your possibilities, to fulfill your wishes for improvement taking into account the overall face and what you would like to achieve. While fat grafting can be a solution for rejuvenating the under-eye area, it's important to note that fat transfer to the face can be somewhat unpredictable. This is because not all of the transferred fat will survive, and some of it may be reabsorbed or can migrate. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
