For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as i can see from the photos you provided there is extra saggy skin on your upper and lower eyelid. For a better, fresh and more elegant look I recommend you upper eyelid blepharoplasty + endoscopic brow lift surgery (if you could provide better photos from front and side, taken a little more away I would be then able to evaluate properly).Best Regards!
What particularly bothers you about how your eyes look? For hooded eyes you can consider upper blepharoplasty. For under eye hollowness you can consider fillers. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to discuss your concerns.
Dear Unicorn135, You didn't tell us what you are seeing. I see a low brow with fat in the upper eyelid area. Depending on whether you are male or female, different aesthetics apply. When you see a Board Certified Plastic or Oculoplastic surgeon, make sure that you are detailed in your description of what bothers you so it can be addressed with the right procedure. Best wishes to you!
You have ptosis or drooping of the upper lids. This is typically caused from the muscle slipping from its original position. However, there are numerous other causes of ptosis that your doctor needs to exclude during an in person consultation. The muscle of the eye can be tighten with surgery to improve the height and symmetry of the lids. Best to see an eyelid expert.
Hi, after reviewing your photos it appears you may have a condition known as ptosis. Ptosis is defined as "drooping" of the eyelids. This is why your upper eyelid is further down on the globe than it should be. There are different etiologies for ptosis. The most common cause is due to a weakening/laxity of the muscle that elevates (opens) the upper eyelid known as the levator muscle. It can less commonly be due to nerve palsy, can be a congenital issue, due to trauma, or due to acquired muscle-related conditions such as Myasthenia Gravis. I'd recommend being evaluated so that the underlying cause can be diagnosed and treated if desired.
