Skin crease over abdomen after Vaser Lipo, is revision an options? (Photo)

Question

I have had vaser high def and there is a horrible skin crease over and through the umbilicus. This despite all appropriate foam insert, compression garment etc. The performing surgeon states it’s scarring and we want it to develop but it looks awful. Is revision an option? I’m in the UK.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

You can try Sculptra injections to help build up that area., or a small fat transfer. The Sculptra will be done in 2-3 sessions and does take some time to improve. Please see someone who treats post operative scarring.

Thank you for your question and including a photo.  Sorry to hear that you're having this issue.   I believe it can be made better.   I would recommend a combination of Subcision and fat grafting.   Subcision is a procedure that breaks up the scar tissue under the skin, allowing the indented area to pop out.  Then i would fill in the void with a little fat.
