Options for bad lipo and cortisone atrophy repair? (Photo)

The past 1.5 years have been a nightmare. After a breast revision, I was convinced to add “conservative” lipo to my abdomen. Post-op, I noticed a dent near my belly button. A cortisone injection to fix it caused tissue loss, leading to two fat transfers that filled the hole but left lumpiness and the dent still visible. Now they suggest a third fat transfer, but a second opinion recommends non-surgical options like CoolSculpting or RF therapy. I’m desperate for a less invasive solution. Advice?

In my opinion, your current condition is quite good. I would recommend not putting in more effort. Corticosteroid injections thin the dermis and weaken the epidermis. For this reason, systems that work with heat, such as RF or CoolSculpting, could cause unexpected results under the skin. You might consider using PLA injections like Sculptra or Lanluma to strengthen the collagen under the skin.

Thank you for your question and including the detailed pictures.   Sorry to hear about your tough year!  First of all, Absolutely Do Not Do Coolsculpting!The last thing you need is to kill more fat and cause more scar tissue.  What I would recommend is Subcission of the scar tissue under your skin where the dents are and a little fat grafting to fill in the defect.  If you have areas where you would like more fat removal, that can be done at the same time.
