Hi, I had an open rhinoplasty a year ago. I had fairly thick skin before the surgery but not extreme. Since the surgery the skin on my nose appears to be getting thicker. My surgeon agrees. Can a rhinoplasty trigger rhinophyma? And if so is there anything that can be done to help reduce the swelling of the skin please? It is so upsetting and I would really appreciate any advice on next steps. Thank you!

I haven't seen a case where having nose fillers dissolved precluded a rhinoplasty from being done. If the dissection stays right on the cartilage, everything should be fine. However, it's important to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.
Hello! Thank you for your question.
As far as I can see from your photos If you can send us photos at 95 degree angles from the side profile, we can make a more accurate evaluation.
It would be better face to face consultation.
Best Regards!
