Hello, I have a two month son, and I give in formula and breastfeed him. I want to have lip fillers and was wondering that if I can stay a week without breastfeeding him and get back after, does it gives time for the product to settle? Thank you
Answer: Juvederm and Breast Feeding Thanks for your question. As I am sure you are aware, most are reluctant to give medicine to pregnant and nursing women. This is the same for injectables. Most will not inject fillers until 3 months after you are done nursing. Please tell your well trained experienced injector all about your past and current health history, as well as any medications, vitamins, or herbal supplements you may be on. Jeffrey J. Answer: Lip fillers Dear flowerbomb_, you should be able to get dermal fillers. I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months. Answer: Fillers and breastfeeding At this time it is recommended that those pregnant or breastfeeding not undergo filler treatments. There is a lack of studies to show that it is safe to have filler injections during this time, so it is best to err on the side of caution.

Answer: Fillers while breast feeding There have been no large studies regarding the effects of fillers while breast feeding. That said, the small amount of these substances that are injected into the lip are unlikely to cause any adverse effects, but are still considered off label and your individual situation should be discussed with your injector.
