Is my lip filler botched? Will dissolving them ruin my natural lips? (photos)

I got 1ml of Juvederm ultra for the first time 9 days go and I very much dislike how it has left my lips looking. I wanted a natural look and it seems as if the filler has been injected at the top of my lips, making them look unnatural. Will dissolving them ruin my natural lips?

Your filler is prominent above the vermillion border.  You can have some hyaluronidase injected to remove the filler without any damage to your natural lip shape.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  I agree that poor placement was performed and I would dissolve the product with hyaluronidase.  This will restore your previous appearance.

If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Sorry to hear you’re unhappy with your filler.
9 days post treatment is too soon to see the healed result. Most of the swelling and bruising will last 2 weeks, however it can take up to a full month to fully inter grate into your tissue.
If the ridge of filler above the vermillion boarder remains 4x weeks post treatment, yes i would recommend dissolving. If done correctly it shouldn’t ‘ruin’ your natural lips. In the mean time I’d recommend massaging it down.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your lip treatment.  The product can be dissolved with hyaluronidase and will not ruin your natural lips.  Always see an expert injector for this treatment.
