I would like to get tip plasty on my nose - is it possible? (Photo)

Question

I wish to get tip plasty as I feel my nose is abit deviated and my tip is too bulbous from the front. I do not wish to make any changes to my side nose as I like my side profile is this possible ? I do not want a slope on the bridge or a barbie nose I just want a subtle change so it looks like my nose just improved

The tip of your nose could be altered by re sculpting the cartilages. It is more common for the entire nose to be addressed with rhinoplasty surgery.I would advise seeing a plastic surgeon with an interest in facial aesthetics so that you can discuss your goals. 3D simulation can be used to give you an idea of what your nose may look like after surgery.

Up close nasal photos are difficult to evaluate. I can see that you have a wide nasal appearance, and I believe your tip appears to be droopy. Depending on your examination, rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for narrowing and lifting your nasal tip without significant changes to your nasal profile appearance. I hope this helps. The shape of your nasal tip is due to two factors; the shape of the cartilages that makes up your nasal tip and the thickness of the skin itself. Sutures can be used to reshape the cartilages to reduce the bulbous shape and refine the nasal tip shape.  In patients with thin nasal tip skin, the shape of the underlying cartilage is revealed a bit more than patients with thick nasal tip skin.  Your plastic surgeon should be able to help you understand what could be accomplished in your specific case. Best wishes.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Cartilage grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Hi, yes its possible to just work the tip of your nose, just so you can notice, in of your pictures a small hump seems to be present over the bridge of your nose (the boney cap area). Some times just treating the a bulbous tip without treating the dorsum will provide a sub optimal result. I would suggest to go with the surgeon of your choice so he can explain in person what are the different options with your case. If you have a deviation your septum needs treatment to align it the best way possible, but that doesn't mean we need to lower and curve it. You can achieve a natural result, don't worry.
