I have about 3ml of HA in my chin currently, over the course of a month I’m going to get it dissolved in three separate sessions. My final session is 11 days before my scheduled genioplasty, will there be any problems with surgery due to anything such as inflammation caused by the enzyme? My surgeon will be performing the surgery with custom plates designed using my CT scan so I’m guessing any soft tissue inflammation beforehand won’t affect the outcome of the surgery?

Dear Caring3081,
Thank you for your pictures. To soften your profile, I believe the most accurate way would be to have a formal sliding genioplasty as opposed to shaving off the chin. Contouring shaving is less predictable. Seek the opinion through consultation from several board-certified,...
It appears that you have a thin soft tissue pad. If that is the case, that makes the reduction genioplasty more predictable. A CT will be needed to confirm. In cases, with excessive soft tissue, there are treatment techniques to reduce the soft tissue pad.
There are generally 2 solutions to this problem. If the chin becomes ptotic with motion, you can try botox to diminish this movement. If the chin is long based on a CT scan, then the chin can be reduced in the vertical dimension and pore-positioned in the horizontal plane.
