I had minimal jowls before undergoing the deep plane facelift recommended by my p.s. and am devastated by the triple draping folds I now have on each side of my mouth. My p.s. continues to tell me that I have the "perfect result" and does not seem to get why I am upset. Finally on my last visit he offered to try filler, but I am afraid it could make things worse. My Rt. lower cheek is concave now, & my mouth feels pulled on that side.

Hi, greetings from Istanbul, Turkey! Since cheek implants are placed directly on the cheekbones, they are located rather deep. While deep plane facelifts are named "deep", they involve the upper layers of the skin. I do not expect cheek implants to create a significant risk of complication, but...
