Buccal fat removal or Botox to make my face look less wide and chubby? (Photo)

Question

My bmi is average. I weight 58kg and I am 5ft 4. I really dislike my face shape. Which procedure would make my face look less wide and chubby. Is this due to face fat or an overdeveloped masseter muscle? Would Botox or buccal fat removal be more beneficial?

Thank you for the question and the photo. I can see the roundness of the face. My first though would be buccal fat removal. This small procedure can be done in the office in about 30 minutes and can cause a permanent reduction in the fat just to the side of the corner of the mouth. It can an amazing effect to thin the angle the face ( see the link to before and after photos below). Masseter hypertrophy can also lead to a similar issue, but usually causes more square facial lines. Botox can be done to reduce the masseter size, but take usually 9 months and several treatments. Based on these photographs you may benefit from a buccal fat removal procedure. Buccal fat pad removal procedure which is ideal for patients who have excess buccal (cheek) fat.
