Breast augmentation - suspected bottoming out. How can I fix the problem? (Photo)

It is hard to say by just looking on the photo, but it can be caused by the left implant slightly dropping, right breast to be more prone to sagging or the capsule on the left breast might be thicker, which makes the implant going up. If the cause is in the implant position, it can be corrected by adjusting implant pocket by closing it where it is excessively open and opening where is closed to reach good shape and symmetry. If the problem is not caused by implant misplacement or capsule, then lifting of right breast or both would solve the problem.

Your breasts are low on the chest wall and the implants lie below the level of the muscle attachment. The muscle was most likely released with a dual plane technique and now the breasts are bottoming out. You will need smaller implants or reinforce of the fold.

bottoming out occurs when the implant falls below the current breast crease or inframammary line. It's more likely to happen with inframammary incisions, which is why I try not to use the inframammary approach to any breast surgery.
Bottoming out can also occur if an implant is too large for the breast pocket. That is why it is important to choose an implant size that's correct for your body. I perform numerous measurements in the office to determine optimal implant size for my patient's bodies.
If you are concerned, please check it with your plastic surgeon for reassurance and to further discuss your options and possibility of revision.
