Can I achieve my old tip shape and position? (Photo)

Is it possible to get my old nose tip with a revision, right now my nose is really upturned and i don't like the angle i feel like it was lifted too much, is it possible to achieve that and some length?

Thank you for your question and photos. It’s important to know how long ago your rhinoplasty procedure was performed to make a proper assessment. It’s not uncommon for surgeons to over-rotate the nose tip upward since it generally drops as the nose begins to heal. Without this step, it's possible for the nasal tip to droop downward. The nose can continue to shift for at least one year following rhinoplasty, at which time a revision may be considered to address any concerns you may have. Keep in mind that each subsequent nose surgery becomes more complex due to loss of structural support, scar tissue, and other factors. The importance of experience, expertise, and artistry cannot be overstated. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to review your surgical history and assess your concerns to determine the best course of action.

Hello! Yes, you can achieve a downrotated, more natural appearance to your nose. A strong cartilage graft would be needed to "anchor" the nose into the new position. If your septum is gone, you may need to use rib which is an excellent choice. If you do desire a revision, wait until it's been at least 12 months to ensure all swelling and changes are complete. In the meantime, you can "stretch" your nose into a lower position. This allows the skin to relax in preparation for a revision procedure.
