I had liposuction under my chin (I’ve previously had a face/neck lift). I’ve been told not to wear a compression garment. Will it affect the skin reattaching ?

Every doctor has their own post operative procedures. They are similar to the steps in a recipe. You had enough confidence to choose your surgeon, you need to follow their instructions, to achieve the best outcome with their technique.

There is no exact science when it comes to the facial garment.  I have my patients wear it for a week day and night and then a week at night only.  Every surgeon will have different protocols.  One of my mentors did not have patients use it at all.  Best to follow your surgeon's instructions.

Chin liposuction may or may not be followed by wearing compression garment. Some surgeons recommend to wear it for 1 days, 2 days, 5 days and even up to 7 days. Some surgeon don't recommend at all to wear a garment. The decision of wearing a garment or not should be dictated by the surgeon that performs the operation.
