Hi there You don't need to sleep with your legs raised 6 weeks after TT. At 6 weeks time your scar strenght is amost 70 % of your body strength. I don't give silicon gel sheets to all my TT patients as a prophylaxis, unless they have genetic tendency to develop hypertrophic or keloid scar. Instead, if you could moisturise and message your scar everyday, this might give you good results. There are some new scar therapy laser machines available which you could explore. The scar healing and remolding process depends on genetics and tension on the incision.  Thus, the more layered the closure with more sutures, rather than fewer sutures will take tension off the incision and tend to lead to a better scar.  The only scar product with randomized clinical data that shows that it works in reducing the appearance of the scar, in my opinion, is the embrace advanced scar therapy.  However, this is something you usually start in the second or third postoperative week and continue weekly for eight weeks.
