My smile has changed after Juvederm 1 ml lip fillers. Is it permanent?

A significant amount of swelling is  present in the days immediately following treatment, and this swelling can have an effect on the smile. It is best to wait up to 2 weeks before making an assessment of your final result. Once 2 weeks has passed and the final result is evident, hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve the filler if necessary. In general, Juvederm is temporary and eventually absorbed by the body. Thank you for your question in regards to Juvederm. Juvederm is not permanent and will dissolve in 9-12 months on its own and your lips will return to their natural state. Thank you for your question.  To answer your question, Juvederm is not permanent and will gradually be absorbed by your body to leave you with your preexisting lip appearance if allowed to completely resolve.  As far as your current results I would recommend allowing them to mature for at least two weeks after treatment as this will permit the filler to soften and any swelling to improve.  If you do not like your results at two weeks, the Juvederm can be dissolved with another medication called hyaluronidase.
