Thanks for your question. To my knowledge there is no effect of alcohol and caffeine on Juvederm fillers.
I don't know of any studies that supports the correlation of alcohol or caffeine and the duration of fillers. I do generally believe that areas of high motion (e.g. lips) tend to have shorter longevity, while areas with less movement tends to last longer. For this reason, combining Botox and fillers in some areas like the crows feet or the frown areas can prolong the effects of the fillers placed in those same areas.
There is no evidence to suggest that Caffeine and Alcohol will affect the longevity or result from fillers however other lifestyle conditions do. For example, excessive sun exposure stimulates enzymes that break down collagen in your skin which also makes the results you see from the fillers go away faster. Smoking also affects the aging process and therefore how quickly the nice results from filler will dissipate.I hope that helps!
I know of no studies that suggest caffeine or alcohol have any effect on Juvederm longevity. Best of luck.
There are no studies that suggest that alcohol and or caffeine affect fillers. I suppose some degree of moderation is always the rule but no studies exist to address this. My Best, Dr C
Sorry to hear about your lip situation. If you feel like the swelling and lumpiness is getting better with every couple days, then it is worth waiting until things stabilize. If it is fairly stable, then you can seek out an injector who has experience with hyaluronidase to help...
It can take up to 2 weeks to see the final result of Juvederm treatment to the lips, and the remainder of the swelling should resolve by that time. I would advise you to speak with your provider in regard to any questions in the meantime; he/she is familiar with the nature of your treatment. I...
It is common to get swelling after fillers into the lips. It is not normal to have irregularities or severe swelling. If you are unhappy you should speak to your physician and have the area injected with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that reverses the hyaluronic acid filler. For the next...
Sorry to hear that you didn't achieve your goals with the fillers. I would recommend considering dissolving more. Cheek injections does require quite a bit of advanced training, particularly in the anatomy of the cheek and how it responds to dynamic movement. Certain cheek...
Thank you for your question. It is very common for the lips to look over corrected or fake the next day. This is due to all the swelling that ensues. I often tell my patients that this is the "oh my gosh" day. It can be 'oh my gosh' my lips are so swollen! It could also be 'oh my gosh'...
